In cooperation between the Rwandan Defence Force (RDF) and the Qatar Armed Forces, particularly in the field of military training, Rwanda Defence Force officers graduated on January 22 and 23, 2025, after completing a rigorous four-year program at Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College and a three-year training program at Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air Academy in Qatar.
Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the ceremony was attended by senior officers from the Qatar Armed Forces, the Rwanda Defence Force, and other distinguished guests. The event featured not only a remarkable air show but also military parades and other displays of the academy's advanced training capabilities.
The programs included comprehensive training and education, culminating in a Diploma in Military Science and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and also specialized in aviation and air traffic control, enhancing their skills in aviation and air operations.
This graduation reflects the ongoing collaboration between the armed forces of both nations in the development and training of military personnel. As these cadets return to Rwanda to continue their service, they bring with them not only advanced skills but also the values instilled during their time at Qatar’s esteemed military academies. Their accomplishments symbolize the enduring friendship and partnership between the two nations.
