Rwanda Defence Force Officer Cadets Graduate from Military Academies in the State of Qatar
This Thursday, The State of Qatar hosted a prestigious joint military graduation ceremony under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The ceremony brought together graduating cadets from Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College, Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Air Academy, Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy, and the Cyber Space Academy, and was held at the premises of Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College.
Among the graduates were five Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Officer Cadets, three from the Land Forces and two from Maritime Operations, who completed their training at Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College (ABMMC) and Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy (MBGNA). Upon graduation, the cadets were commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant.
The ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers, senior security and military leaders from several countries, and other distinguished guests. The Rwanda Defence Force was represented by the Defence Attaché of Rwanda to Qatar, Colonel Bernard Niyomugabo.
In addition, under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Defence, Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, the Qatar Armed Forces held a Joint Certificate Award Ceremony at Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College. During the event, five officer cadets from different colleges and academies were awarded Military Diplomas and Bachelor’s Degrees.
Outstanding cadets who achieved the highest distinctions in their respective faculties were congratulated by His Excellency the Minister. Among them was Rwandan Officer Cadet Gedeon Iriho, Level 4 (MBGNA).
The successful training and graduation of RDF Officer Cadets in Qatar underscores the strong and growing partnership between the Republic of Rwanda and the State of Qatar, particularly in the areas of defence cooperation, capacity building, and military education
