Held at the Sheraton Doha Hotel under the theme “The Innovation Imperative,” the forum welcomed leaders from around the world to exchange ideas and shape policy for a more sustainable, secure, and prosperous future.
Hosted by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, the event attracted notable dignitaries, including President of the Republic of Senegal Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the Dominican Republic Luis Rodolfo Abinader, President of the Republic of Namibia Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, Chairwoman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Zeljka Cvijanovic, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Central African Republic President, Faustin-Archange Touadera.
During a panel discussion on China’s influence in the Global South, President Paul Kagame highlighted the value of global partnerships grounded in fairness and mutual benefit. He remarked: “The purpose of a global order is to have global stability, which we do not have. We need to realize that there is a lot we can do that benefits us in the global south, but we need to come together, we need to work together, and after that we can gain even more by having the global south cooperate with the global north.”
Doha Forum 2024 continues to serve as a vital platform for addressing pressing global issues, fostering collaboration, and exploring innovative solutions to create a more equitable world. President Kagame’s participation underscores Rwanda’s commitment to these shared goals and its growing role on the international stage.
